Description
Alcatraz key cabinets are used to store the start and end keys of the interlocking system. These cabinets are normally stored in a secured place like a control room.
The cabinets can also be used to store spare keys and master keys.
Each cabinet can accommodate 1 – 250 keys and vary from size and type.
The keys can be stored in the cabinet using a key hanging system with coloured text plates providing details of the key when the key has been taken to site.
To have a complete colour aware key management system Alcatraz supplies a key cabinet with lock portions to store each individual start and end key on a unique position.
This provides a clear and complete indication of the work status for each individual interlocking system. The operator is forced to insert the key on the correct position in the cabinet.
On top of this, if required, each lock portion can be connected to a micro switch and can be inter-wired up to a terminal block inside the panel.
Each cabinet has a glazed and lockable door and can be supplied in a carbon steel, stainless steel or polyester construction.
