Description
Alcatraz time delay boxes are used for machine guarding. Some machines do not come to an immediate stop when switching off the electrical power to isolate a machine.
After the power has been switched off the key coming from the electrical power (for example a rotary switch) is inserted in the time delay box. The second key for the gate or door access is held captive in the time delay box until the retention time of the machine is covered and the desired condition of the machine has been achieved.
